Photos of Zócalo

Zocalo MEX 1-27-16 by THE Holy Hand Grenade!

A shot looking down the Plaza de Constitutión from the northwest corner of the Zócalo in Mexico City, Mexico. The Metropolitan Cathedral of the Assumption of Mexico City is off-frame left and the vast majority of the Zócalo is off-frame right, with the Palacio Nacional in the background. The bit of greenery in the foreground is a gore separating the Plaza de Consttutión into a right turn only into Calle Monte de Piedad, northbound, and a left turn into a continuation of Plaza de Constitutión. Taken by a Nikon D610 at ISO 400 with a Nikkor 20mm ƒ 2.8 AF-D lens. This shot, and the next two, were accidentally skipped - they belong before the shot "Seat zocalo Cath MEX 1-27-16", several shots back in my photostream... All four sides of the Zócalo are bound by the Plaza de Constitutión, which is one-way, counter-clockwise.
